Sustainable development is not a new expression at the SAQ. It has launched social and environmental initiatives for more than 20 years.
More recently, it has managed to eliminate disposable bags, create specific sections for organic wines and implemented energy efficiency measures in its 414 branches.
Mario Quintin not only review SAQ major suitainability accomplishements but will present the key strategies that support these initiatives.

Mr. Mario Quintin obtained a master in environmental science from UQAM in 1998. After his degree he worked for CRE- Chaudière-Appalaches and Réseau environnement. He was worked since 2003 at the SAQ as an environmental advisor, since 2007 he was promoted to Director of the Sustainability Department at the SAQ. He is the secretary of Table pour la récupération hors foyer, a not for profit with the mission of increase diversion rates in restaurants and bars in Quebec.
