Farès Khoury is an economist. Since 1981, he has been the president of Étude Économique Conseil (EEC Canada, www.eecgroup.com). From the begining of his carreer as a development economist in the late 70s, microcredit issues have captured his interest. Between 1979 and 1986, Mr. Khoury was mandated by several IFIs to assess the Grameen Bank which at the time was only a project and was just barely emerging as a very unique type of commercial and investment banking institution. Since then, he has evaluated over 100 microcredit projects all around the world. Furthermore, between 2005 and 2008, he acted as moderator for the Cercles d'emprunt de Montréal's Board of directors (www.cerclesdemprunt.com), which was the first organism to draw its inspiration from the Grameen Bank. Les Cercles d'emprunt de Montréal introduced microcredit to Quebec and today, still remains one of its most active standard bearers.
Sandra D. Péloquin, MBA, Director, Project Financing solutions at the Business Development Bank of Canada. Sandra also supports a different kind of travel experience for everyone. She has recently helped to set up a microcredit program in an impoverished suburb in Peru.
Anne Roudaut is an environmental advisor for several CEGEPs in Montréal. She just came back from Bangladesh where she observed the functioning of the Grameen Bank, founded by the author and founding father of microcredit.
