Esther Dormagen, President

Esther is a consultant in sustainable development with Optim Ressources Canada Inc. Originally from France, she settled in Quebec in 2004. She holds an MBA from McGill University (1997), is a certified Human Resources Professional from Quebec (CRHA) and a member of the Social Affairs Committee of the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal. She has been involved in sustainable development for the past 4 years, in France and Quebec, for NGOs and large companies.

Businesswoman and Social Development Consultant, Muriel is cofounder and general Manager of Perennia - Design and Life cycles, a social economy enterprise that offers ecodesign solutions to organizations who want to reduce their environmental footprint. She also performs Social Development consulting mandates. Muriel has an MBA from McGill and a Master Degree concerning social entrepreneurship from UQAM. Prior to working on sustainable development issues, Muriel worked in managerial and business development positions in the television industry.

 

Jean-Philippe Boutin, Cocktail-Conference Manager

Jean-Philippe Boutin is the Director of Recycling and Environmentt for the Yellow Pages Group. He has received a masters training in Environmental Management and Policy at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics in Sweden. Jean-Philippe is back from a stay in Honduras as an international cooperant supporting a reforestation carbon offset project. During his preceding career, with the benefit of his engineering bachelor and his master in management of technology he contributed to the launch of the Cyberjeunes NetCorps program and has worked as an IT manager for international developing organizations.

Philippe is project manager for Takt-Etik. After a few years of experience in the business world, he is particularly interested in sustainable strategies and the life cycle approach to management. Philippe holds a DESS in management and sustainable development at HEC Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international development at McGill University.

Christelle Masson, reading-debate events Manager

Christelle offers sustainable development consulting services to organizations. She is author of several articles on corporate social responsibility, and has also written a guide on corporate sustainability reporting. Before becoming involved in this area, she worked in several professional services firms within their communication department. She holds an MBA from UQAM and is currently completing her DESS in management and sustainable development at HEC Montréal.

Cindy a terminé des études en communications, spécialisation radio et est détentrice d’un diplôme en Relations internationales et droit international. Elle occupe un poste de responsable des communications pour le Centre international de solidarité ouvrière (CISO), ONG voué au respect des droits des travailleurs et à lutte contre les ateliers de misère.  En 2008, elle a organisé un colloque sur les approvisionnements responsables et milite en faveur de l’implication des organisations à adopter des politiques d’approvisionnement responsable (PAR) afin d’inciter de plus en plus d’organisations québécoises à adopter et à mettre en place des PAR dans leur milieu.

Suite à un Bacc en Design industriel à l’Université de Montréal, Véronique a œuvré dans le milieu des arts interactifs à la Société des arts technologiques (SAT), participant au développement de systèmes de communication et de diffusion sur les réseaux larges bandes pour connecter les communautés isolées. C'est au cours d'un long voyage autour du Monde qu'elle participera à des projets communautaires en Océanie, se découvrant ainsi une réelle passion pour le développement durable. Véronique travaille actuellement au sein de l'équipe de conception et de production chez Aquaovo, une entreprise québécoise proposant des solutions de filtration d'eau écologiques et durables.

 

Alam Aguilar Platas, Adjoint aux communications

In 2008, he obtained a Masters of Science in Administration at  HEC Montreal in International Business by submiting a thesis based on  a Brazilian model of Corporate Social Responsibility. He was part of a bursary program in order to enhance education between the government of Canada and the Ministry of Foreing Affaires in Mexico. In 2001, he participated with the Miami North-South Center/ITESM joint project called: “The Impact of Free Trade on Small Size Business: The Case of Nafta in Mexico.” From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a commercial advisor for Bridgestone Mexico.
